Automation You Can Trust.
Because a CPA Reviews It.
Canadian Cloud Accounting designs and governs AI accounting automation for Canadian businesses that want the time savings without losing control of their numbers — configured inside the systems you already own, with a named reviewer standing behind the output.
AI accounting automation in Canada — the time savings, without the quiet errors.
Most businesses adopting AI in their finance function are switching on features and hoping. Bank rules get created ad hoc. Receipt capture runs unchecked. Somebody starts pasting figures into a chatbot without anyone deciding whether that’s allowed. The tools are genuinely good — but applied to an undefined process, they produce errors faster than the manual work they replaced.
We configure the automation, document the process it runs on, write the data policy that governs it, and stay on as the review layer that makes the output trustworthy. Our work follows CPA Canada’s financial reporting standards — which is precisely what an automation vendor cannot offer.
Fully Autonomous Bookkeeping Does Not Exist Yet
Anyone selling it is either redefining the word or hasn’t been through an audit. Cutoff decisions, revenue recognition, and credit eligibility all require knowledge that isn’t in your transaction data. What exists today is very good assistance under professional supervision — and that’s what we build.
What your AI accounting automation engagement delivers.
Process Documentation First
Before anything is automated, we document how your close actually works — because automation layered onto an undefined process executes chaos faster. You keep the close manual and rules register.
Transaction Categorization
Bank feeds and rules built around how your business actually codes things, plus an exception queue so the small share needing judgment reaches a human instead of being guessed at.
Document Capture & AP Coding
Receipts and invoices extracted, coded, and matched automatically — with restricted categories configured so meals, vehicles, and mixed-use items get the right tax treatment rather than the default.
Approval Workflows & Controls
Who approves what, at what dollar value, with a full audit trail. This is where automation stops being a convenience and starts being a genuine internal control.
AI-Assisted Reporting
First-draft variance narrative, management reporting packs, and scenario models that update from actuals — every one reviewed by a CPA before anyone acts on them.
Governance & Data Policy
A written policy covering what information may go into which tools, named review checkpoints, and periodic rule audits — because a rule that was right in January may be wrong by September.
Ten weeks from assessment to running.
You might need AI accounting automation if…
What businesses ask us first.
What is AI accounting automation?
Using machine learning and rules-based automation inside your existing accounting platform to handle high-volume, pattern-based work: transaction categorization, document capture, recurring entries, approval routing, and first-draft reporting. It removes manual effort. It does not remove the need for professional review.
Will this replace our bookkeeper?
Generally it changes what they spend their time on rather than eliminating the role. Data entry shrinks; exception handling, vendor and customer management, and analysis grow. Most clients redeploy the hours rather than cutting headcount.
Do we need to change accounting software?
Rarely. Most AI accounting automation capability is already in QuickBooks Online or Xero and simply isn’t switched on or configured properly. We start by optimizing what you own. Migration is a last resort, not a first step.
Can you automate our books completely?
No, and we’d be cautious of anyone who says otherwise. Cutoff decisions, revenue recognition, credit eligibility, and anything requiring knowledge that isn’t in the transaction data all need a person. Realistically you can automate most of the volume and a large share of the effort.
